    Institute for Graduate Studies in Social Sciences
    The Institute for Graduate Studies in Social Sciences is one of the six graduate institutes at Boğaziçi University. It coordinates the graduate programs in various social science fields offered at Boğaziçi University. Its primary responsibility is to maintain high standards and quality in graduate programs. To this end, it evaluates new graduate program proposals and monitors the operation of existing programs.
    The Institute for Graduate Studies in Social Sciences currently includes 22 programs leading to Master of Arts (M.A.), and 12 programs leading to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
    The office of the Institute for Graduate Studies in Social Sciences, located on the South Campus, next to the Yapi Kredi Bank, is the administrative unit which oversees such matters as admissions, records, and graduation for all Master's and Ph.D. students in programs under its supervision.
    Graduate programs and program advisors are the best initial contact for information about program content as well as for assistance with problems related to grades, fulfilment of degree requirements, leaves of absence, and transfers.
    Students should contact the Registrar's Office directly to submit applications for admission to one of the graduate programs.
